A nice relaxing day by the sea
We decided to go in search of the sun today. We chose the west coast and went to Wales. The intention was to go and look at boats there, (yes, we are still boat hunting, despite not having sufficient funds to buy one). However it was quite late when we left (nothing new there!), so we decided to just have a wander around and go on the beach instead.
People were swimming despite it being a bit chilly and already late afternoon. It was warm enough for T-Shirts, but not if you stood still for too long. So how cold the water was I dread to think. The little kids in their 'all in one' wet suits I could understand, but there were two middle aged women in just swimsuits going up and down by the shore. They must be hardier people in Wales I think. Either that or it was the typical 'Brits on tour' mentality where they decide they are going to enjoy the beach whatever the weather!
We couldn't remember visiting this particular area before but then as we walked around we started to recognise parts. It was still nice though and youngest even got to go on a big bouncy castle slide for about 15 minutes, so she was happy.
It was a long, but pleasant, drive back and at least we felt like we had done something with the day. The only trouble is I know I can't skive anymore tomorrow. I am going to have to tackle the mess in the garden and do yet more business work. Otherwise I will start next week stressed about my workload and that would be such a shame after a nice relaxing day
