Day 126

A visit to Nannies house was just what was needed.
Youngest did her third morning at school today. She is still really happy and excited to go, which is great. I had arranged for us to visit grandparents in the afternoon to keep her occupied. Especially as her sister won't be here. However circumstances changed and it made more sense for me to collect her sister and for all of us to go visiting.

It was difficult persuading her to let me work whilst we waited for the end of school. She was impatient to go out. However I managed to get her to do some colouring and cutting in the end. It means I will have a lot of clearing up to do later but at least she was happy.

Youngest doesn't normally visit these particular grandparents. They usually come to our house. So I think she feels a little shy there. Her sister on the other hand goes there quite a lot and sleeps over sometimes. She even refers to their spare bedroom as her room. Consequently when we arrived at the grandparents our eldest daughter took youngest by the hand and they went upstairs to play. Apparently they were playing school with eldest daughter's dolls and cuddly toys. They must have been enjoying themselves, because I had two cups of tea, and did lots of chatting, and I never saw them once. We were there for about two hours and there wasn't a peep out of them.

They had a bit of cake and some juice when they arrived and that must have been enough for them. They never winged for sweets or even their tea. I almost had to drag them out so we could go home and eat. It is amazing what a change of environment can do. They even tidied all of the toys away before we left. I will have to see if they can practice that more at home Happy.
